Job Brief

As a Scooter Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and overhauling motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, dirt bikes, and similar motorized vehicles. This role requires a strong background in mechanical repairs, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot various engine and electrical issues. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in the automotive or motorcycle repair industry and demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills to ensure optimal vehicle performance.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in scooters, motorcycles, and related vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct comprehensive inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reliability.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately.
  • Maintain detailed records of all repairs and services performed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs and solutions effectively.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in scooter and motorcycle maintenance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in motorcycle mechanics preferred.
  • Proven experience as a motorcycle or scooter mechanic, with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of engine repair, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and tools used in vehicle repair.
  • ASE certification or similar qualifications is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
