Responsibilities
- Coordinate the movement and placement of loads using rigging equipment and techniques.
- Inspect rigging gear for signs of wear or damage and report any issues promptly.
- Communicate effectively with crane operators and crew members to ensure safety during lifting operations.
- Follow industry-standard safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA guidelines.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of hoisting equipment and rigging systems.
- Maintain accurate records of rigging operations and equipment inspections.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Rigging Slinger or similar role in construction or logging.
- Strong understanding of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Valid certification in rigging or crane operation is preferred.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of load weight limits and safe lifting practices.
