Job Brief
As a Retail Stocker, you will play a vital role in maintaining the organization and presentation of merchandise within a retail environment. This position involves receiving, storing, and issuing products to ensure shelves and displays are fully stocked and visually appealing. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in retail or warehouse settings and possess strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to operate power equipment when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unpack, and store merchandise in designated stock areas.
- Stock shelves, racks, and displays with products in an organized manner.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking and reporting stock levels.
- Mark prices on merchandise and set up promotional displays as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and sales floor.
- Fulfill customer orders and requests efficiently and accurately.
- Operate power equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize stock replenishment processes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a stocker, warehouse associate, or in a retail environment.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock replenishment practices.
- Ability to operate power equipment (certification may be required).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends.
