Job Brief
As a Resilient Tile Installer, you will be responsible for applying blocks, strips, or sheets of shock-absorbing, sound-deadening, or decorative coverings to various floor surfaces. This role requires expertise in tile installation techniques, an eye for detail, and the ability to work with a variety of materials. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in flooring projects, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in both residential and commercial settings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and ensuring proper alignment.
- Measure and cut tiles to fit specific areas, ensuring precision in dimensions.
- Apply adhesives and bonding agents to secure tiles firmly to the substrate.
- Install resilient tiles, including vinyl, linoleum, and rubber, according to industry standards.
- Inspect completed installations for quality assurance and make adjustments as necessary.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timelines and specifications are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a tile installer or in a related flooring installation role.
- Knowledge of various flooring materials, installation techniques, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Certification in flooring installation preferred but not required.
