Responsibilities

  • Design and develop sustainable agricultural systems and machinery to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct research to analyze agricultural processes and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaborate with agronomists, soil scientists, and other professionals to develop integrated solutions.
  • Evaluate the performance of agricultural equipment and structures, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implement soil and water conservation practices to enhance resource management.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed engineering plans and models.
  • Analyze data and prepare technical reports to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Biological Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in agricultural engineering, with a focus on machinery, power systems, or conservation practices.
  • Strong knowledge of soil science, plant biology, and environmental engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and safety guidelines in agricultural engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
