Job Brief
As a Replanting Machine Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting agricultural activities by driving and controlling specialized equipment for planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain replanting machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform soil tillage and preparation for planting through the use of appropriate agricultural equipment.
- Assist in planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops according to seasonal schedules.
- Monitor equipment for malfunctions and conduct routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Feed and herd livestock as necessary, ensuring their well-being and productivity.
- Oversee the removal of animal waste and other byproducts to maintain a clean agricultural environment.
- Execute post-harvest tasks such as husking, shelling, and threshing using stationary equipment.
- Collaborate with farm management and team members to adhere to operational goals and safety standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in agriculture or machinery operation is preferred.
- Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably in agricultural settings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Knowledge of crop production practices and agricultural equipment.
- Ability to work long hours and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in agricultural operations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
