Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Psychologist to join our team. In this role, you will assess and treat individuals experiencing psychological challenges due to injury, illness, or disability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation psychology, possess excellent communication skills, and demonstrate the ability to develop tailored treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate patients’ cognitive and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting psychological and physical rehabilitation.
- Provide evidence-based therapy, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, occupational therapists, and social workers to facilitate holistic patient care.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary.
- Educate patients and families about psychological aspects of recovery, coping strategies, and resources available.
- Participate in research and development of best practices within rehabilitation psychology.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) with a focus on rehabilitation psychology.
- Current licensure as a psychologist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience in providing psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions in a rehabilitation setting.
- Strong knowledge of psychological theories, evidence-based interventions, and rehabilitation processes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
