Job Brief

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to assess, treat, and care for patients with various breathing disorders. The RRT will assume primary responsibility for all respiratory care modalities, including the supervision of respiratory therapy technicians. The ideal candidate possesses strong clinical skills, a thorough understanding of respiratory therapy procedures, and the ability to maintain accurate patient records. This role requires collaboration with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients’ respiratory conditions and needs through comprehensive evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, nebulization, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to respiratory therapy technicians and support staff.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
  • Conduct therapeutic procedures and monitor patients for changes in condition.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current state licensure to practice respiratory therapy.
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy modalities, techniques, and equipment.
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
