Job Brief

We are seeking a skilled Registered Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including x-rays and CAT scans, while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. You will also administer nonradioactive materials into the patient’s bloodstream for diagnostic or research purposes. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including x-rays and CT scans, accurately and efficiently.
  • Administer nonradioactive contrast materials for enhanced imaging results.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and radiation protection guidelines.
  • Maintain and operate radiologic equipment, conducting routine quality control checks.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
  • Document patient information, imaging results, and any complications as per protocols.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to evaluate images and provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in radiologic technology and maintain continuing education requirements.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as a Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent.
  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and performing imaging procedures.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and patient care practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Current CPR certification and knowledge of emergency protocols.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
