Responsibilities
- Operate and control nuclear reactors to maintain safe, efficient, and reliable performance.
- Move control rods and adjust reactor systems in accordance with operational protocols.
- Start and stop reactor equipment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor and adjust controls to maintain optimal reactor conditions and performance.
- Record operational data in logs accurately to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Implement emergency procedures effectively when abnormalities are detected.
- Respond to abnormal conditions, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to enhance reactor performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or degree preferred.
- Certification as a Reactor Operator or equivalent experience in nuclear operations.
- Strong understanding of nuclear reactor principles and safety standards.
- Proficiency in monitoring and controlling reactor systems and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, high-stakes environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
