Job Brief
As a Radiologic Technician, you will play a pivotal role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including x-rays and CAT scans, to aid healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating patients. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including x-rays and CT scans, following established protocols.
- Administer nonradioactive materials into patients’ bloodstream for imaging purposes, ensuring accurate dosage and patient safety.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring optimal imaging results.
- Maintain and operate radiologic equipment while adhering to safety standards and protocols.
- Ensure the quality of images meets diagnostic requirements and report any equipment malfunctions.
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records.
- Assist radiologists in interpreting images and provide initial reports as necessary.
- Educate patients about the imaging process and answer any questions they may have.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current certification and licensure as a Radiologic Technician from a recognized accrediting body.
- Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and performing various imaging techniques.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills for accurate image assessment.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
