Job Brief

As a Radio Repairer, you will be responsible for the repair, installation, and maintenance of mobile and stationary radio transmitting, broadcasting, and receiving equipment. This role requires expertise in two-way radio communications systems utilized in cellular telecommunications, mobile broadband, ship-to-shore, and aircraft-to-ground communications. You will also test and analyze network coverage to ensure optimal performance. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in electronics repair and a strong understanding of radio frequency technology.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair faults in radio transmitting and receiving equipment.
  • Install and configure two-way radio communication systems for various applications.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot cellular and broadband communication systems.
  • Perform routine tests and analysis of network coverage to assess service quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance radio system performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Document repair processes and maintain accurate records of service activities.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users regarding radio equipment usage.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Radio Repairer or in a similar role within electronics repair.
  • Strong knowledge of radio frequency (RF) theory and equipment.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing two-way radio systems.
  • Familiarity with cellular telecommunications and mobile broadband technologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Certification in electronics repair or related fields is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
