Job Brief
The Radio Control Crane Operator is responsible for operating mechanical boom and cable or tower and cable equipment to efficiently lift and move materials, machinery, or products in various directions. Responsibilities
- Operate radio-controlled cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials safely and efficiently.
- Inspect equipment before and after operations to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks during crane operation.
- Communicate effectively with ground personnel to coordinate lifting operations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including loads handled and equipment status.
- Perform routine maintenance on crane equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to industry regulations and standards related to crane operation and safety.
- Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Valid crane operator certification, such as NCCCO or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a crane operator, preferably with radio control systems.
- Strong knowledge of crane safety protocols and best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for performing routine equipment maintenance.
