Job Brief
As a Prosecutor, you will represent the government in criminal and civil litigation, conducting legal proceedings and advocating for justice. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting cases in court, managing legal documents, and advising clients on legal transactions. Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
- Represent the state or government in court, presenting evidence and arguments.
- Interview witnesses and gather evidence to build a strong case.
- Negotiate plea deals and settlements with defense attorneys.
- Advise law enforcement on legal matters and assist in investigations.
- Stay current with changes in laws and regulations relevant to criminal prosecution.
- Prepare cases for trial, including jury selection and jury instructions.
- Engage in community outreach and educate the public on legal issues and rights.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active state bar license to practice law.
- Proven experience in criminal law, litigation, or trial advocacy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.
- Demonstrated commitment to public service and justice.
