Job Brief
As a Propeller Driven Airplane Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, adjusting, repairing, and overhauling aircraft engines and assemblies, particularly focusing on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical issues in propeller-driven aircraft and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Overhaul and maintain aircraft engines, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Inspect hydraulic and pneumatic systems for functionality and safety, and repair or replace components as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and document all work performed on aircraft systems.
- Collaborate with other aviation professionals to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance maintenance practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in aircraft mechanics preferred.
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with propeller-driven aircraft engines.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance software.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on safety and quality assurance.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and in various weather conditions.
