Job Brief
The Production Scheduler plays a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing the flow of work and materials across departments to ensure adherence to production schedules. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials according to production schedules.
- Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to relevant departments.
- Confer with department supervisors to assess work progress and confirm completion dates.
- Compile and analyze reports on work progress, inventory levels, production costs, and challenges.
- Identify potential production bottlenecks and recommend solutions to improve workflow.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with procurement to ensure necessary materials are available.
- Utilize scheduling software and tools to enhance production scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Production Scheduler or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and scheduling principles.
- Proficiency in scheduling software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, production planning software).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various departments.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
