Job Brief
The Production Control Clerk plays a critical role in coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials according to the production schedule. This position requires proficiency in reviewing and distributing production schedules, as well as collaborating with department supervisors to monitor progress and completion dates. Responsibilities
- Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to ensure timely workflow.
- Coordinate with department supervisors to assess progress of work and establish completion dates.
- Compile and analyze reports on production efficiency, inventory levels, and cost management.
- Identify and troubleshoot production problems, providing timely solutions to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, inventory status, and shipment details.
- Assist in scheduling and prioritizing production tasks based on changing demands.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to align production goals with departmental objectives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a production control or materials management role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making.
- Familiarity with production processes and supply chain management.
