Job Brief
As a Product Safety Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in industrial processes, mechanics, and safety regulations to promote product and worksite safety. You will analyze potential hazards, assess compliance with health and safety laws, and implement safety protocols to minimize risks associated with product development and manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough safety assessments and risk analyses for new and existing products.
- Develop and implement safety protocols and guidelines in compliance with industrial safety regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety measures into product design and development.
- Monitor and evaluate product performance to identify safety issues and recommend improvements.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on safety testing and regulatory compliance.
- Stay updated on industry safety standards, regulations, and emerging safety technologies.
- Provide training and support to staff on safety procedures and best practices.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Product Safety Engineer or in a similar safety role.
- Strong knowledge of industrial health and safety laws and regulations.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and safety analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in safety management systems and compliance documentation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Certifications in safety engineering or related fields (e.g., CSP, CIH) are preferred.
