Job Brief

As a Priest, you will conduct religious services, provide spiritual guidance, and perform essential functions that nurture the beliefs and practices of the faith community. Your role requires a deep understanding of theological principles, strong communication skills, and the ability to offer compassionate support to individuals and families. Ideal candidates will have experience in pastoral care, community outreach, and leadership within a religious organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct religious worship services and ceremonies, including baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
  • Provide spiritual and moral counseling to individuals and families in need.
  • Lead community engagement initiatives and outreach programs to promote the faith.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sermons that inspire and educate congregants.
  • Offer support during life transitions and crises, fostering emotional and spiritual healing.
  • Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to organize events and activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of church activities and member participation.
  • Engage in continuous personal and professional development in theology and pastoral care.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Ordination and/or certification as a Priest in accordance with denominational guidelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in pastoral care, preaching, and community service.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
  • Deep knowledge of scripture, religious traditions, and ethical practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Proficiency in using technology for worship services and community outreach.
