Job Brief
The Prekindergarten Program Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating educational and recreational activities within preschools or childcare centers. This leadership role requires a strong background in early childhood education, as well as experience in curriculum development, staff management, and communication with parents. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development in preschool children.
- Coordinate daily operations of the prekindergarten program, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Supervise and support teaching staff, providing ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to early childhood education and childcare safety.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss children’s progress and address any concerns.
- Manage program budgets and resources effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and exploration.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments and feedback, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education or program management.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in curriculum design and assessment strategies.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and community partners.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and best practices in early childhood education.
