Job Brief
As a Precision Dyer, you will operate and maintain washing and dry-cleaning machines to effectively clean and dye a range of industrial and household articles including garments, leather, furs, linens, and carpets. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor washing and dry-cleaning machines for optimal performance and efficiency.
- Perform dyeing processes on various fabrics, ensuring accurate color matching and application.
- Inspect and evaluate articles for stains and damage, applying appropriate cleaning or dyeing techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
- Utilize spotting agents and treatments for difficult stains on a variety of textiles.
- Document machine maintenance and service records to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and best practices in textile cleaning and dyeing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in textile care preferred.
- Proven experience as a Precision Dyer or in a similar role within the textile industry.
- Strong knowledge of fabric types and appropriate cleaning and dyeing methods.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining commercial washing and dry-cleaning machines.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify fabric care needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations related to textile processing.
