Job Brief
As a Pre K Teacher, you will be responsible for nurturing and educating preschool-aged children through engaging and developmentally appropriate activities. You will implement curricula and lesson plans designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for early childhood education, demonstrate strong communication skills, and have experience in creating a positive learning environment that fosters creativity and exploration.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and educational activities that encourage social interaction, physical coordination, and cognitive development.
- Assess and monitor student progress to tailor instruction and provide feedback to parents and guardians.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and respect.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage students in learning.
- Encourage and facilitate the development of social skills through group activities and cooperative play.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance curriculum and instructional practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- State certification or licensure in early childhood education.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment.
- Proficiency in classroom management and lesson planning.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
