Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated Pre K Special Education Teacher to provide high-quality educational instruction to preschool-aged students with learning, emotional, or physical disabilities. The successful candidate will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), foster social and life skills in a nurturing environment, and adapt teaching techniques to meet diverse learning needs. Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to the unique needs of each student.
- Assess and monitor student progress and adapt instructional methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with special education staff, therapists, and parents to create and implement effective IEPs.
- Utilize assistive technologies and teaching aids to enhance the learning experience for students with disabilities.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and individualized support strategies.
- Provide guidance and support to students in developing social skills and emotional regulation.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements, challenges, and behavioral interventions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in special education.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure in Special Education.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities, preferably in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive teaching methods.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
