Job Brief
As a Powerhouse Operator, you will be responsible for controlling, operating, and maintaining machinery to generate electric power. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor power generation equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of machinery to prevent downtime and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Adjust controls and settings to regulate power output and maintain system efficiency.
- Document operational data and report any deviations or malfunctions to management.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions.
- Follow established safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Train and guide junior operators on equipment operation and safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Powerhouse Operator or in a similar role within the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of power generation systems and auxiliary equipment.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industry best practices in power plant operations.
- Ability to operate computer-based control systems and monitoring equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
