Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and parcels accurately.
- Sell and process postage and revenue stamps, postal cards, and stamped envelopes.
- Fill out and sell money orders while ensuring compliance with USPS regulations.
- Organize and place mail in designated pigeon holes of mail racks or bags.
- Examine mail for proper postage and return incorrectly stamped mail to customers.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide information about postal services and products.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales and services.
- Follow safety and security procedures to protect mail and assets.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in customer service is a plus.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with postal regulations and procedures is advantageous.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate postal service software.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening as required by USPS.
