Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Port Crane Operator to safely operate mechanical boom and cable or tower and cable equipment for lifting and moving materials, machines, or products within port facilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in crane operations, a strong understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key skills include precision in movement, communication, and teamwork, ensuring efficient port operations and material handling.
Responsibilities
- Operate various types of port cranes, including boom cranes and tower cranes, to lift and transport materials.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on crane equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Coordinate with ground crew and other operators to facilitate smooth and efficient loading and unloading processes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and industry standards during crane operation and material handling.
- Maintain accurate logs of crane operation, including hours worked and materials moved.
- Respond promptly to any operational issues or equipment malfunctions and report them to supervisors.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and stay updated on best practices in crane operation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in crane operation preferred.
- Valid crane operator certification and relevant licenses as required by local regulations.
