Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Piano Tuner with expertise in tuning and repairing pianos to ensure optimal sound quality and performance. Responsibilities
- Tune pianos to achieve accurate pitch and sound quality based on client specifications.
- Inspect and diagnose issues in pianos and other stringed instruments, determining the best course of action for repairs.
- Perform maintenance tasks, including action regulation and voicing adjustments.
- Repair and replace damaged strings, hammers, and other internal components.
- Provide expert advice to clients on piano care, maintenance schedules, and potential upgrades.
- Document service records and client interactions for effective follow-up and customer service.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and product innovations in piano tuning and repair.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Piano Tuner or in a similar role in musical instrument maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of piano mechanics, acoustics, and tuning methods.
- Proficiency in using tuning tools and equipment, including electronic tuning devices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Relevant certifications or training in piano tuning and repair is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client appointments effectively.
