As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a critical role in the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring efficient service delivery and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Record and manage drugs and merchandise delivered to the pharmacy.
- Store incoming pharmaceutical products and supplies accurately and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the supervisor of stock needs to prevent shortages.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and filling prescriptions for patients.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions for prescription and over-the-counter sales.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with pharmacy regulations.
- Assist in maintaining records and documentation related to pharmacy operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification (e.g., Pharmacy Technician Certification) preferred.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and cash register operation.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and medication classifications.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
