Job Brief

As a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, you will leverage your technical knowledge in biology, chemistry, and pharmaceuticals to promote and sell products to healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of postsecondary education and a proven track record in sales to effectively drive product adoption and market penetration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including physicians, pharmacists, and hospital staff.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to educate clients on pharmaceutical products and their benefits.
  • Identify and target potential customers within assigned territories to increase sales and market share.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to strategize effective sales approaches.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns that align with product objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports on sales performance, customer feedback, and market insights.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to network and stay updated on industry advancements and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies in all sales activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as biology, chemistry, or life sciences.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, medical terminology, and healthcare industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet sales targets.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
  • Certification in pharmaceutical sales is a plus.
