Job Brief
As a Pediatric Orthodontist, you will play a crucial role in examining, diagnosing, and treating dental malocclusions and oral cavity anomalies in children. Responsibilities
- Examine and diagnose dental and orthodontic conditions in pediatric patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to address malocclusions and other oral anomalies.
- Design, fabricate, and fit orthodontic appliances, including braces and retainers.
- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans and appliances.
- Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices and the importance of orthodontic care.
- Collaborate with dental professionals and specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in pediatric orthodontics and dental technology.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program with a focus on pediatric care.
- Current state licensure to practice dentistry and orthodontics.
- Proficiency in diagnostic imaging techniques, including X-rays and 3D imaging.
- Strong understanding of orthodontic treatment methodologies and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
