Job Brief
As a Paving Stone Installer, you will be responsible for laying out, cutting, and placing segmental paving units with precision and skill. This role requires a solid understanding of installation techniques and materials, including bedding and restraining materials essential for creating durable and aesthetically pleasing paved surfaces. Responsibilities
- Measure and mark areas for paving stone installation according to project specifications.
- Cut paving stones and prepare bedding materials for installation.
- Lay segmental paving units in designated patterns, ensuring proper alignment and spacing.
- Install edge restraints and other necessary materials to secure paving units.
- Ensure proper drainage and surface leveling to enhance durability and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Paving Stone Installer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of paving materials, tools, and installation techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and perform manual labor.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in construction environments.
- Valid driver’s license and transportation to job sites.
