Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Finisher to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mixing and baking a variety of ingredients to create high-quality baked goods, including breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, and pastries. Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to established recipes.
- Decorate and finish pastries with precision, ensuring high aesthetic standards.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve the desired quality and taste.
- Assist in developing new dessert recipes and menu items to enhance customer offerings.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen workspace.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service during meal periods.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in all food preparation and handling.
- Participate in inventory management, including ordering and stocking ingredients as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Finisher or in a similar role within a restaurant or bakery environment.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and pastry production processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Creative flair and attention to detail in presentation and decoration of baked goods.
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines and sanitation practices.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or pastry certification is a plus.
