Job Brief
As a Parquet Floor Layer’s Helper, you will support skilled tradespeople in the installation of parquet flooring by performing essential tasks that require a basic understanding of flooring techniques. Responsibilities
- Assist parquet floor layers with the installation and repair of parquet flooring materials.
- Prepare job sites by cleaning and organizing tools and materials.
- Measure and cut flooring materials as directed by skilled tradespeople.
- Supply and hold tools and materials during installation processes.
- Help with the application of adhesives and finishes to floors.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Support the team in troubleshooting installation issues and ensuring quality standards are met.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic knowledge of flooring materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to handle physical labor, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in flooring installation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced parquet floor layers.
