Job Brief
The Parking Enforcement Officer is responsible for maintaining parking regulations within assigned areas, including public parking lots and city streets. Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to enforce parking regulations and ensure compliance with local laws.
- Issue citations for overtime parking and violations of parking ordinances.
- Provide assistance to motorists and communicate parking rules effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of issued tickets and violations.
- Respond to public inquiries regarding parking policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and city officials as needed.
- Report unsafe conditions or other issues related to parking facilities.
- Participate in community outreach programs to educate the public on parking regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in law enforcement or public safety is a plus.
- Proven experience in parking enforcement, public safety, or a similar field.
- Strong observational and analytical skills to identify parking violations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with local parking regulations and enforcement procedures.
- Proficient in using ticketing software and mobile technology.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
