Job Brief
The Paper Bag Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to advanced paper goods machinery that transforms paper or paperboard sheets into high-quality products. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate paper bag machines for optimal performance and production efficiency.
- Operate various types of machinery, including converting, stitching, and sealing machines.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards throughout the production process.
- Document production metrics, machine performance, and any maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machine operation is a plus.
- Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably in the paper goods manufacturing industry.
- Strong mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
- Familiarity with production processes and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and product specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
