As an Outboard Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems of outboard boat engines. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in outboard engines and related systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of outboard motor brands and models.
- Adjust and calibrate engines for optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
- Install new parts and components, ensuring proper functionality and integration.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs and recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in marine mechanics.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Outboard Technician or similar role in marine mechanics.
- Strong knowledge of outboard engine systems, including fuel, electrical, and cooling systems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in engine repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Marine Mechanic Certification) are preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
