Responsibilities

- Maintain and repair existing orthotics and prosthetic devices to ensure optimal functionality.
- Educate patients and their families on the use and care of orthotic devices.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and physical therapists, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while conducting fitting procedures.
- Keep detailed records of patient assessments, fittings, and device modifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in orthotic fitting.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in orthotic fitting is preferred.
- Proven experience as an Orthotics Fitter or similar role in the medical field.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and biomechanics.
- Proficiency in using orthotic fitting tools and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations concerning orthotic devices.
