Job Brief
As an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and performing surgical procedures to address musculoskeletal disorders and injuries. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and evaluate musculoskeletal disorders and sports-related injuries.
- Perform surgical procedures to treat conditions affecting bones, joints, ligaments, and tendons.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, emphasizing rehabilitation and injury prevention.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physical therapists and athletic trainers, to enhance patient recovery.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment options and preventive care strategies.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopedic sports medicine and surgical techniques.
- Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and surgical outcomes accurately in medical records.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote sports safety and injury prevention.
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery with a subspecialty in Sports Medicine.
- Extensive experience in diagnosing and treating sports-related injuries.
- Proficiency in surgical techniques relevant to orthopedic sports medicine.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
- Current state medical license and DEA registration.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other healthcare technologies.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development in the field of sports medicine.
