Job Brief
As an Orchard Hand, you will play a vital role in the manual cultivation and harvesting of a variety of crops including fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Responsibilities
- Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest various crops including fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
- Utilize hand tools such as shovels, trowels, and pruning shears for efficient crop management.
- Till soil, apply fertilizers, and maintain soil health to promote crop growth.
- Transplant, weed, thin, and prune crops to ensure optimal yield and quality.
- Apply pesticides and other treatments as needed while adhering to safety regulations.
- Clean, grade, sort, pack, and load harvested products for distribution.
- Construct trellises, repair fences, and maintain farm buildings as required.
- Participate in irrigation activities to ensure crops receive adequate water supply.
Requirements
- Previous experience in agricultural roles or related fields preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
