Job Brief
The Optical Astronomer is responsible for observing, researching, and interpreting astronomical phenomena to enhance our understanding of the universe and address practical challenges. Responsibilities

Requirements
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in optical observational techniques and data analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Python, IDL).
- Experience with astronomical data collection and interpretation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Familiarity with astronomical databases and software tools (e.g., IRAF, DS9).
- Excellent communication skills for presenting scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.
- Demonstrated publication record in peer-reviewed journals is preferred.
