The Operations Officer, Afloat (Naval Tactical Data Systems) manages the operational integrity of critical communications, detection, and weapons systems vital for coordinating air, ground, and naval operations. Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation of communication links between air, naval, and ground forces to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans for natural disasters and wartime scenarios.
- Coordinate emergency response teams and agencies to facilitate effective crisis management.
- Evaluate command center operations and provide high-level military and government reporting based on real-time data analysis.
- Manage the operation of surveillance and detection systems to enhance situational awareness.
- Provide expert technical information and advice regarding operational capabilities and readiness.
- Direct the operation of weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems for strategic military engagements.
- Conduct performance assessments and recommend improvements to operational protocols and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Military Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in military operations or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of naval tactical data systems and military communication protocols.
- Experience with emergency response planning and crisis management techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex command center information.
- Proficiency in managing surveillance, detection, and weapons systems.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to coordinate with multiple military branches.
- Relevant certifications in military operations, emergency management, or systems engineering are a plus.
