Job Brief
The Oncology Social Worker plays a crucial role in providing psychosocial support to individuals, families, and groups facing chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and psychological support to cancer patients and their families throughout treatment and recovery.

- Advise and educate family caregivers on coping strategies and available resources.
- Facilitate support groups and workshops to foster community and shared experiences among patients.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and address barriers to access.

- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans to meet changing needs.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
- Current state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in oncology social work or a related healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of oncology treatment protocols and psychosocial interventions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and counseling skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Familiarity with community resources and healthcare services for cancer patients.
- Proficient in case management and documentation practices.
