As an Oncology Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ health conditions and needs
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and other nursing care to patients
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care
- Provide case management and support to patients throughout their treatment journey
Requirements
- Valid nursing license or registration as a Registered Nurse
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Experience in oncology nursing or a related field
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of cancer treatment protocols and patient care standards
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
