Job Brief
The Oec Technician is responsible for monitoring recreational areas, including pools, beaches, and ski slopes, to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants. This role requires strong observational skills, quick decision-making abilities, and a commitment to providing assistance and protection in various environments. Ideal candidates will possess relevant certifications and experience in recreational safety, emergency response, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Monitor recreational areas to ensure participant safety and compliance with safety regulations.
- Assist and provide first aid to individuals in distress or emergency situations.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to maintain safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with guests to provide information and assistance.
- Implement emergency response procedures and coordinate with local emergency services as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, safety checks, and equipment maintenance.
- Participate in training sessions to stay current on safety protocols and techniques.
- Promote a positive and safe recreational experience for all participants.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in safety or emergency response preferred.
- Experience in recreational monitoring or a related field.
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Training is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in recreational environments.
