Job Brief
As an Ocean Engineer, you will design, develop, and manage projects related to oceanic systems, marine structures, and underwater technology. Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies and assessments for marine engineering projects.
- Design and analyze ocean structures, including offshore platforms and coastal defenses.
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for modeling oceanic systems.
- Collaborate with environmental scientists to minimize ecological impacts of marine projects.
- Develop and implement testing procedures for underwater technologies.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation for project stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in ocean engineering technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in marine project management and engineering design.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools specific to ocean engineering.
- Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics, structural analysis, and environmental regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Familiarity with relevant software for modeling and simulation, such as MATLAB or ANSYS.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
