Job Brief
As a Nursing Aide, you will provide essential support and basic care to patients in a healthcare or nursing facility under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and health status, reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
- Support patients with mobility and ambulation to enhance their physical well-being.
- Administer medications and assist with other health-related tasks as directed by licensed nursing personnel.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with facility policies.
- Participate in training and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a nursing aide training program preferred.
- Current certification as a Nursing Aide or Nursing Assistant in the relevant state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and comfortably.
- Demonstrated compassion and patience in dealing with patients and their families.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
