Job Brief

As a Numerical Tool and Process Control Programmer, you will develop and optimize programs that control the machining or processing of materials using automated machine tools, equipment, and systems. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement programs for CNC machines and automated processing systems.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and refine existing programs to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define specifications and requirements.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software to create and modify machining programs.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement in tool and process performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during programming and machining processes.
  • Document programming processes, revisions, and maintenance activities to maintain accurate records.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Numerical Tool and Process Control Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages used in CNC machining, such as G-code and M-code.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and its application in CNC programming.
  • Understanding of machining processes, tool selection, and material properties.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • Relevant certifications in CNC programming or machining technology are a plus.
