Job Brief
The Non Acoustic Operator is responsible for executing critical in-flight operations to ensure the successful completion of combat, reconnaissance, transport, and search and rescue missions. This role requires expertise in operating aircraft communications and detection equipment, conducting thorough inspections of onboard systems, and maintaining aircraft weapons and defensive systems. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background and is skilled in performing complex tasks under pressure while ensuring safety and efficiency during operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain aircraft communications and detection equipment, including satellite linkages.
- Conduct preflight, in-flight, and postflight inspections to ensure all onboard equipment is functional.
- Manage aircraft weapons and defensive systems to support mission objectives.
- Execute aircraft in-flight refueling operations and maintain related systems.
- Implement safety and emergency procedures to safeguard crew and aircraft integrity.
- Compute and verify passenger, cargo, fuel, and special equipment weight and balance data.
- Conduct cargo and personnel drops as per operational requirements.
- Collaborate with flight crew and ground personnel to ensure mission success and safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training or relevant experience preferred.
- Proven experience in operating aircraft systems, with a focus on communications and detection.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Familiarity with aircraft weight and balance calculations.
- Ability to perform under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing environments.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
- Valid pilot or operator certification as required by regulatory authorities.
- Experience with aircraft in-flight refueling systems is a plus.
