Job Brief
The No Bake Molder is responsible for creating precise wax or sand cores and molds utilized in the production of metal castings within foundries. This role requires a keen eye for detail and proficiency in using molding processes to ensure high-quality output for metal casting operations. The ideal candidate will possess experience in mold-making techniques, a solid understanding of materials used in the casting process, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Construct and assemble wax or sand molds and cores for metal casting applications.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery to shape and form molds according to specifications.
- Monitor the quality of molds and cores through inspection processes to ensure adherence to tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize molding processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following safety protocols and best practices.
- Document production processes and report any issues or discrepancies in mold quality.
- Assist in troubleshooting mold defects and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mold-making is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Molder or similar role in a manufacturing or foundry setting.
- Familiarity with various molding materials and casting techniques.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing facility.
