Job Brief
As a Newscast Director, you will oversee the production of live and recorded news broadcasts, ensuring high-quality delivery of news content for television, radio, or online platforms. This role requires extensive experience in directing, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. You will be responsible for creative decisions, including script interpretation, talent selection, set design, and the integration of special effects. Responsibilities
- Direct live and recorded newscasts, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to time constraints.
- Collaborate with producers, reporters, and technical staff to create engaging news content.
- Make critical decisions on script interpretation, camera angles, and visual storytelling techniques.
- Supervise the selection of actors, guests, and on-air talent for news segments.
- Design and oversee set layouts, sound design, and special effects to enhance viewer engagement.
- Manage production schedules and coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of broadcasts.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Film Production, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in directing newscasts or similar productions.
- Proficiency in industry-standard production software and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of broadcast regulations and standards.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
